After a morning spent on a project at the computer,
it seemed a good idea to invite a friend to join me for a short
drive into the Adelaide Hills to view the "outside" world for the afternoon.
Following brief stopovers in Stirling and Aldgate, we took up the
recommendation of a delightful shop assistant and headed over to
"The White House" cafe/bistro in the ever-popular town of Hahndorf
where we indulged in a fabulous cappucino by a roaring open fire
(and resisted the delicious-looking temptations of nearby patisseries!)

Looks wonderful!
How could you resist??
Such a cosy fire. How could you resist those little beauties. You are making me drool just looking at them
Oh la la! what wonderful treats.
That’s cruel, Valerie. Here on our Queensland island we’ve been having unseasonal cold and wet Adelaide-style Winter weather instead of our usual balmy days, and we don’t run to fireplaces or Mallee roots. So all I can do is stare at the picture and hope it warms me up.
Id have to have them all. They look too tempting to leave.
Hahndorf is lovely. How could you resist those treats?!
Oh I would love these treats anytime!
