Sunrise on the morning of my departure to catch the flight to Rome and then back to Australia
after a lovely 10 day stay in central Italy to wind up an amazing 2 months of travel around the UK and Europe.

. . . . and some extraordinary flowers spotted in Brittany. If someone is able to identify them, I'd be very grateful !

Used to know the name, but it escapes me now - extreme beauties - these little flowers! Can't wait to see your pics from Italy (hope you went also outside Rome, although there's plenty to see there)
A great last sunrise! I wish I could do a trip to Europe like that, and see the places I remember from when I was a child.
Beautiful sky shot.
What a trip that you have had.
Hi i am so envious of your travels to Europe, i will be back here to see your shots. And thanks for visiting my post on hoyas. You should start collecting again, as a lot of people around the world are into this addiction right now, haha!
Thank you one and all for your kind comments and especially to "Felicia" for identifying the flowers - one can now easily see how they are so called.
jeannettestgermain: Yes, other parts of Italy visited include Milan, Florence, Ancona, Fano, Fossombrone, Perugia and Urbino (birthplace of Raphael). I had been blessed to visit other regions of Italy as part of a 3-month unguided tour of Europe over 40 years ago, so it has been refreshing to explore the continent with more mature eyes!
Wow, beautiful photos! A great sendoff from what sounds like a wonderful trip.
Both beautiful.
