In the fast pace of today's technological world, with its sense of urgency and the acquisition of material things, this little girl enjoying playing with a bucket and spade at the beach in St Malo, Bretagne was an endearing reminder of the joys to be found in simple activities.

Aww that is sweet. Very true words.
beautiful shot. a memory worth freezing.
Oh, what joy!
Nothing nices for kids than sand and water. Lovely photo.
Great picture! I see that you also live in Australia. My second daughter lives in Queensland in Cooktown. I try to see her and her family and friends at least once in two years. I have never been in Adelaide, but we all spent a holiday in Tasmania in Decenber 2012, which was wonderful because my elder daughter ,partner and son could join us.
I hope to see you more on blogger!
You're so right of course Valerie. In our grandkids toy chest are cardboard boxes, containers and all manner of things that aren't toys. Kids can play with any old thing and it teaches them creativity.
It is a beautiful image and your words couldn't be truer! I like to see simple activity like this too!
It is a simple pleasure, wonderful capture! Have a happy week!
it is as they sey: "the best things in life is free" Soo true, great shot.
