I've missed catching up regularly with my blogging friends over the past twelve months, but am happy to be sharing with you again today.
With easing of cross-border travel restrictions, a good friend and I decided on a 9 day visit to Victoria's Great Ocean Road (from South Australia). Wishing to enjoy the journey, we arranged a couple of overnight stops, one of them being Portland just over the SA/Victorian border. This was a deliberate choice because we wanted to visit the Gannet Colony at Point Danger - what a delightful experience!
The white tops on the island are all Gannets !!!
One of this year's offspring testing it's wings
..... and so began a visually spectacular adventure!
Thank you for hosting this blog Stewart

I have twice visited the Northern Gannet colony at Île Bonaventure, Québec, and it is always an incredible experience, filled with sensory overload. Perhaps one day I will have a similar experience in Australia.
