Windemere properties

The following properties are located on the edge of Lake Windemere in Cumbria, north-west England and I imagine would fetch "a pretty penny" in today's real estate market.

This lawn definitely calls for a ride-on mower!

These are truly beautiful properties. I hear though that all real estate in England is quite expensive. That is why so many Britons move to France to buy houses (even though they don’t care for the French that much …!)

A pretty penny indeed - some of those would be priced in the £millions! Better to take a boat trip on the lake as I presume you did. By the way the locals will tell you that Lake Windermere is tautological since the "mere" part means lake any way. All very confusing.

Most properties in the Lake District are expensive but ones leading down to the water's edge must be extortionate. A beautiful part of the country though.

I used to live on the edge of Windermere - what a place!

The building in my post has strong bones - its just needs a plan to help it back to life.

Forest, large lawn and a lake with a boathouse … it would be heavenly to have a centuries old stone home in such a place!
