Above is the result of a recent, brief re-visit to Houghton in the Adelaide Hills with a good friend on her birthday. We were pleased to still see some rich Autumnal colours around this pretty "hamlet" - and I couldn't resist capturing one of the local "residents"!
While the air was a little crisp in the shade, the glorious warmth of the sun could still be felt through our jackets when we returned to the Village Square.

A lovely view of the last weeks of autumn in your world as we prepare for summer's heat.
Finally the colours have brightened. I thought we would lose the leaves before they had properly turned this year.
I go through Houghton quite often when I go to Modbury to see one of my specialists. The vineyards closer to Birdwood have come alive with colour as well.
A lovely mosaic of colour you share with us today.
Such a beautiful mosaic. Love the autumnal colours.
The autumn colors are gorgeous and I love the cute local resident. Lovely mosaic. Have a wonderful day!
Beautiful place!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Autumn is my fave time of year! A lovely mosiac!
A beautiful collection of autumnal photos.
Hi there,
Just found your blog and I love it. We seem to share the same passion for travel. Am following you now and looking forward to your next postings.

Heidi: thanks for visiting my blog and your kind comments. Yes, I adore travelling when the opportunity arises (+ finances permit!). Also enjoy seeing others' images from around the world when I can't get there in person. Happy snapping!
Sounds like one of those delightful crisp autumn days! Thanks for sharing snippets of it!
The Adelaide Hills are so pretty in autumn, must remind you a little of England. My sister lived in a couple of different townships in the Hills some years back.
I live in a place with little seasonal changes... but it does seem out-of-sorts to see these autumn colours. But they sure are gorgeous. Even the local resident fits in the fall colour-palette... :-)
