These images were captured in wetlands some 10 minutes from my home . . . .

Aww - we're shy!

... hard to believe that two significant highways intersect near the left hand edge of this shot above!

A Cormorant "taking the pause that refreshes"

.. and here is a close-up of what I prefer to call "poor man's daffodils" (yes, quirky I know!), but which many consider a pest - they are Soursob weeds. Still, they do add a lovely splash of colour to the surroundings.

As the sun disappeared over the horizon behind me, lighting adjacent to Technology Park came on and reflected in the waters at Mawson Lakes.

Honey coloured centre

The honey-colour centre of this rose in a friend's garden really appealed to me.
