Rockies

This was the stunning view from the aircraft as my flight left Vancouver, BC in Canada
for Comox on Vancouver Island at the beginning of February 2017.
It was a stark reminder to keep things in perspective !

Up, up & away ....

... couldn't resist posting these two shots taken as my flight approached Auckland
New Zealand - that blue sky and sea are so "electric"!

In and Out

At the end of January I flew into Auckland, New Zealand en route to Vancouver BC

This was the view as we approached Auckland ....

..... and as our flight departed for the next leg of our journey
(San Francisco)  ....

(I'm off in a few days to explore some more of our beautiful world in person, so this may well
be my last post to this site for a couple of months. Thank you for the opportunity to
see your wonderful contributions in the meantime!)

Awaiting clearance

As we were waiting to take off for Canberra (Australia's Capital City),
I was looking through the cabin window appreciating our small CBD when an incoming Qantas jet suddenly came into view.

.... looking up the Gulf of St Vincent and leaving Adelaide behind (and yes, despite the changed sky, this shot was taken only minutes after the previous one).

Flying high!

I have just returned from 5 days away in Hobart, Tasmania (hence the lack of postings) and it is such a beautiful part of Australia that my posts for the rest of this week will, I hope, display some of that.
In the collage above, the top LH shot is leaving Adelaide; the RH pic is approaching Sydney; bottom LH is the New South Wales coastline and I'm sorry am unable to identify the island in the last pic.
