Musical Paree

The Paris Metro (underground train system) is an effective, efficient and affordable means of getting around Paris.  (The numerous stairs can be rather testing though on those of us who are unfit -
especially when toting baggage: another reminder to travel light!)

One of the great and memorable experiences was hearing a group of musicians playing cool jazz in one of the many tunnels running between platforms and particular routes. It was a wonderfully welcoming sound and, regardless of the direction of your intended platform, one felt drawn to follow the source of the beat as it echoed around the tunnels!

On another day's outing, we came across this happy trio set up on a pedestrian bridge across the Seine, providing joyful entertainment for those out and about enjoying the sunshine.
The musicians seemed to be having as much fun as those listening to their talents.

Paris has a lot higher class of street musicians than what we have where I live.

Great captures, thank you for sharing.

I just lo e street musicians, and it is great they are ale to set up and entertain. I wouldn't have expected them in the underground but they would have a big audience. I well remember those stairs and tunnels and carting baggage. Have a wonderful week. I am joining you at Our World Tuesday.

As you know you can find many talented musicians around London underground and above ground but I don't think I have ever seen such large musical instruments with them such as a piano and full set of drums!

I just love seeing and hearing street entertainers - as long as they are good at what they do!
Paris must be an exciting place to visit.
