A gift

Last Christmas I was given a Phaleanopsis Orchid plant bearing several gorgeous blooms. Since my green thumbs are more a shade of yellow, I feared for its survival!
However, it seems to have thrived in the warm, light & sunny location
of my bay window and this is the first of its ten (!) buds
that opened a few days ago - I'm ecstatic!

Isn't that exquisite? And a beautifully exposed photo too. You can see the waxy texture perfectly.

What a beautiful little jewel .... Obviously it's in the perfect position and has rewarded you with ten exquisite blooms.

And I am happy for you because I also have a thumb that is more a shade of yellow and I can relate. Congratulations on your thriving and beautiful orchid, and thank you for sharing it with Today's Flowers :)

Gosh I would be ecstatic too. I have often been given orchids some have died and those that have survived have never flowered since.
