A stroll along the Towpath, Oxford

The River Isis runs through Oxford in England and in times past canal boats carrying goods for consumption by locals used to be towed by horses walking along these paths (hence the name "towpath").  In more recent times these paths offer a delightful and peaceful environment for a gentle stroll - or jog, for the more energetic!

Much more pleasant than a footpath beside a road. Beautiful.

Hi there - what no punts and people in silly straw hats!!

I'm still not sure which of my hay bale shots I like the most - each one seems to have bits I like.

Cheers - Stewart M

A wonderful peaceful capture of this shady tow-path. Makes me want to take a stroll and see what's around the next bend. Delightful pic!
