Keukenhof surprises

Enroute to the UK last year, I stopped off in the Netherlands for a couple of days and was generously treated to a visit to the Keukenhof Gardens -
a showcase of glorious blooms covering some 30+ hectares (with a few feathered friends and others). Following is a small sample of its offerings -

( For some reason I am unable to enlarge these images within Blogger, but hope you will still be able to get a feel for the environment there!)

I've never been to Holland Valerie but I know of its reputation for flowers. And of course the famous artists who featured flowers.

Love the duck and bunny! I had a mandarin duck in my backyard earlier this year. I'll be sharing photos of him in the next couple of posts.

I love the color of that rabbit. If only in my few visits to temperate countries i had enough time, visiting gardens is surely my top wish, however it is not like that all the time. At least in New Zealand i was able to visit a few gardens.
