Not a bushfire

This shot of a "fiery" sunset was taken back in June (Australia's first month of Winter), but today it reminds me that we are now only weeks away from our official Bushfire Season. Residents in the Port Lincoln region on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula have just this week experienced a devastating loss of homes to such an event. Thoughts and prayers are with those coming to terms with their loss and wondering how to once again rebuild their homes and lives.

Beautiful sky, glad it is sun fire and not real fire. To experience a big bush fire must be truly terrifying.

Sorry to hear that -I live in an area, prone to fires, so I know how devastating it can be.

Beautiful photo. We had devastating wildfires here this summer, one of them destroyed 346 houses in my city.

so beautiful valerie! I hope that you will consider sharing an offering for this year's 4th annual gratitude word quilt. You can find information about the project and how to participate at the top of my blog. If you’ve already sent something thank you. The quilt is growing quite expansive and with only first names, I can’t always remember who already shared. Feel free to write in your native language google translate is available on my blog so every one can read and understand one another. Every Blessing~ Laura
