Place de la Concorde in Paris

A busy place - in more ways than one! There were many streets feeding into this famous landmark and, while there seemed to be no apparent road rules or lane markers, remarkably all the vehicles just made way for each other (and without much tooting of horns as I recall!).  It was clearly also a popular meeting point for visitors.

Hi there,

Paris is such a great city. I'd love to spend time there to explore and see all the landmarks.

Keep up the good work on your blog!

Hi Valerie, thanks for the visit and your kind comments. I just looked at those thistle blossoms, and I couldn't help but see how much they showed how people can be, especially those who have been hurt. You struck the nail right on the head.

I have never been to Paris, the fountain is obviously very popular!

I do so love Paris, it holds many wonderful memories for me as my husband proposed to me on top of the Eiffel Tower.

A beautiful scene. The water seems to overflow the fountain in a lovely sheet, very pretty.

I love Paris. Fountains, wherever they are, have such an attraction especially for the young or maybe I should say 'young at heart'.
