At the end of a long day, keen to get home after a fleeting interstate getaway, my flight was delayed by about an hour ("that's nothing" I can hear some of you say !). . . an opportunity to catch up on some reading or simply observe fellow travellers.

It's always worth the wait once you arrive at your destination. I once waited 12 hours at Delhi airport - now that was different. Had to sit on my luggage in case I fell asleep as I was assured it wouldn't be there when I woke up. Ah the loves and trials of travelling.
