Australian Parrots

Still in Victoria, out of Geelong en route to the Great Ocean Road,
stopped off for a coffee break (as you do), and came across
these delightful King Parrots (males) and Crimson Rosella.
(sorry that images are blurry - taken through glass window 
so as not to disturb them!)

    Lovely looking birds. It's hard to imagine parrots being wild birds up here in the Northern Hemisphere.

    They are just wonderful -- I can never get over being surprised that these beauties are wild birds you might see in your backyard. No matter how many times I see them on blogs from your beautiful country.
