Mornington Memories

  9. Linda: the animal is an Echidna, also known as a Spiny Anteater and is an egg-laying mammal. I was thrilled to snap this one just after it crossed the road in front of me, as I've only previously seen this species in a zoo or wildlife sanctuary!

  12. I too was wondering the name of that beautiful animal. I'd love to come across one of those in the UK! I'll have to make do with a hedgehog I guess.
