These two homes in a delightful Wiltshire village caught my eye during my return visit to England in 2009. A fence can convey many messages between neighbours and these seem to brighten up the approach to each home. (I was quite taken by the deep burgundy colour of the home on the right and can't now recall why I didn't include the whole frontage!)

Does look like a chatting fence!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteShaun: You're right - I'd love to come back to the UK, but not without my friends and, sadly, they all prefer the warmer climes! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThat dip (re: toe) you took must have been in special waters.
ReplyDeleteLovely colours!
Greetings from Canada. :)
Great photo! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe flowers on both sides of the fence are lovely. And that is a lovely burgundy.
ReplyDeleteTerrific.
ReplyDeletei like this fence and flowers. fences between good neighbors should be as low as this.:p
ReplyDeleteThe contrast in the facade colors is interesting.
ReplyDeleteHi there - nice picture. I once lived in a terrace of houses like that. The land behind the houses was not split up by fences at all; it was just one long garden. Now, that encouraged conversation!

In this case, the fence does seem like a friendly divider. And it's a great backdrop for the flowers.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, like the fence..
ReplyDeleteVisiting for Our World Tuesday- hope you can stop by:)
