On a gorgeous Winter's day in August last year (before I began this blog site), my photography buddy and I were out on a ramble in the northern Adelaide foothills and following are some of the beautiful flora we encountered during our outing.
Not a good capture, but . . can you see the butterfly hanging onto the blossom?
Such beautiful white flowers!
ReplyDeleteLovely blossoms and the butterfly is pretty. Great capture.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are so beautiful and I think you did a good job photographing them.
ReplyDeleteWonderful captures of these pretty white blossoms .... Yes! I can see the butterfly with its distinctive markings.
ReplyDeleteLovely calla lily, the joy of settlers' wives through the centuries, that have resettled themselves along creek beds and are now looked upon as a pest plant. I have them both in our garden on Mt.Lofey, the house dates back to the 1850's, and also on the farm of the same vintage. I absolutely love them for being so old fashioned.
ReplyDeleteDelightful spring blossoms and butterfly.
Lovely! The calla is divine!
ReplyDeleteI could indeed see your lovely butterfly :) I also have one picture of a butterfly in my post this week. I guess we share our love of them. A beautiful post. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteLove the Calla lilly! But the 2nd pic, is a precious clower -do you know which one it is?
ReplyDeleteEmille: yes, the Calla lily seems an ever popular flower. Sorry I don't know the identity of the 2nd flower's species. Thanks for visiting.
ReplyDeleteArija: thanks for visiting and offering an insight into the history of the Calla lily - how marvellous that you have such a rich supply of them in your homes.
