A pleasant surprise in "the garden"!

While I genuinely appreciate flowers, I'm no gardener, so imagine
my surprise and delight when I discovered this beautiful Iris in
my back yard a few days ago!  (I'd been given several plants last year
when a friend moved house, so I planted them against the fence, behind the tall palm trees and pink Diosma in my small rear garden area and pretty much forgot about them - how forgiving is nature of such neglect!)

  1. I'm not a gardener either though I hope to change that one day :-)) I love your iris blossom.

  2. My father regularly pulled out any plants which had self-seeded in the veg plot and threw them against the fence. It soon developed into a floral border. Just an illustration of how hardy some seemingly delicate flowers can be.
